Douglas W. Kiburz, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who practices Sports Medicine. Dr. Kiburz is a summa cum laude graduate of Doane College and received his M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Kiburz completed his residency in Orthopaedics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, a fellowship in Hand and Sports Medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center, and an Arthroscopy fellowship at the Research Institute of Virginia. He is the recipient of numerous research awards and has both chaired the Department of Surgery and served as Medical Director of the Physical Therapy Department at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Karen Aubrey is a Registered Nurse with advanced certification in neuroscience (CNRN). Ms. Aubrey is active in encouraging prospective patients to take charge of their health through diet and exercise and avoiding overuse of palliative pain-relieving medications such as nonsteroidal antiinflamatory drugs (NSAIDs).
